When creating Photokeep, keeping uploaded photos private until you want them to be public was a major design concern. However, it was clear that creating our own authentication for websites and managing passwords is both challenging and risky. Therefore, both the bot and this website uses login with Discord to keep your data secure. Specifically, this website uses Discord's OAuth2 service for authentication. This was natural as all the accounts on Photokeep are segregated by Discord Accounts as the main service is a Discord bot. This means that only those with access to your Discord Account can see your data. Discord is a very secure service and thus your photos are safe.
